I have so many photos of sunsets (they are one of my favourite things!), and these are some of my most recent.
Taken on a trip to the Elephant Conservation Centre in northern Laos, this setting was pretty spectacular and watching the sunset over the lake was very special. It was so peaceful and quiet as we watched the sun slip behind the mountains in the distance.

We were blessed with a few lovely sunsets during our time in Laos. One evening we ascended Mount Phousi, which is in the middle of Luang Prabang, to watch the sun set over the town. The sunset was beautiful, but we were definitely not alone in wanting to capture this moment!

To escape the crowds on Mount Phousi, we watched a few sunsets from the shores of the Mekong River in Luang Prabang instead, just us and a few others who had also found the spot!

I don’t know what it is about sunsets that I find so captivating, but I can’t stop watching them or photographing them, no matter where I am!
It’s rare that I am up to capture a sunrise, but I did just that during my time in Laos….and I’m so glad I did! I recently wrote about that experience and the effect that it had on me – An Emotional Sunrise in Laos
