The recent tragedy of Ethiopian Airlines flight 302 has thrown my phobia of flying back into focus. What an absolutely horrific and terrifying event it was and my heart goes out to those souls on that plane and their families who now have to deal with the aftermath of the accident. My stomach turned when… Continue reading The Fear Of Flying Rises Again!
Here we are delving into February and I don't really know where January has gone! It's been busy, busy, busy with work and life in general and hasn't left me much time, or energy, to focus on blogging. I feel as though I've dropped the ball a bit in that respect, I haven't had the… Continue reading Where did January go? A quick update!
So, it's now officially 2019! That's another year done and dusted. It's amazing how quickly they go now - I swear the years lasted longer when I was younger! But as I wrote in my review post I feel like 2018 was quite a good year all in all, it certainly was in terms of… Continue reading New Year Wishes And Thanks!
Well, it's almost the end of the year and it's that time when we all start reflecting on the year that has passed, the ups and downs, the achievements, the un-achievements (lets not call them failures!). You may also be inundated with review posts at the moment...so sorry to add to the pile, but here… Continue reading My 2018 Travels – A(nother) Review!
It's that time of year again and we are gearing up for Christmas! I always say to myself, this year I will super organised, this year I will not stress and actually enjoy the lead up to the big day.... of course this never happens! I'm sat here looking at an empty screen... I don't know what to write. My mind is just at a complete blank right now. It's been a really busy week at work, I've been exhausted by the time I've gotten home and my head is full of all sorts of thoughts, worries, plans and lists...everything… Continue reading A Post About Nothing!
I'm a self-confessed technophobe. I try, but I don't really understand technology and am impatient if it doesn't work. I never have the most up to date kit...in fact, I probably don't even have the kit in the first place! The old days! When I first went travelling, digital cameras were in their infancy, the… Continue reading Travel and Technology
It was Bonfire Night in the UK on Monday, a day when everyone goes firework crazy! Our local fireworks display was held on the Saturday evening, and as usual it was pretty spectacular. I took the opportunity to test out the camera on my new mobile phone. I've opted for a Google Pixel 2 as… Continue reading Fabulous Fireworks!
The Little Mermaid is hosting another tea party… and this month’s theme is travel! Hop over there to join in the fun!

Still, the elemental part of a tea party remains the affable exchange of dialogue among the invitees. Almost indistinguishably, the tea party that I am organizing is an online social event hosted in honour of bloggers, that is US! Blogging is most enjoyable when it is done interactively…

I was already in two minds whether to attend the alms ceremony in Luang Prabang. Tak Bat is definitely seen as one of the 'must do' activities whilst you are there. There is no doubt that it is one of the most iconic images of this city. Every morning the monks from the many temples… Continue reading To Alms Or Not To Alms?
