I was lucky enough to attend the Wimbledon tennis championships last year.
On looking through my photos, this one of the ballboys and ballgirls shading the players stood out to me, even though it’s not the best quality photo. It caught my eye mostly for their symmetry and the striking colours of the umbrellas! The famous Wimbledon green and purple!

And as the grass court season has begun in earnest and the Queen’s Club tennis tournament has kicked off here in the UK, along with lots of other grass court tournaments around the country, what better time to uncover these memories of one of my favourite times of year!!
I’m off to Wimbledon again this year…am I excited? Just a little!!!
Although I’m not sure if the players will need to be shaded like that this year, the weather has so far been abysmal and has washed out a few days at Queen’s so far!!
Fingers crossed it gets better!

They look quite surreal actually if you really start looking: holding those big colorful umbrellas like that! Fun photo – enjoy this year’s trip! 😊

I’d love to attend Wimbledon one year as my family and I are all mad tennis fans.
I do love the look of your new layout too. Xx

Fantastic! How easy is it to get tickets over there? Wimbledon here is balloted so you never know if/what you will get!

Oh really? I didn’t know that.
Tickets are pretty easy to get though can get very expensive for the latter matches closer to the finals.

I’ll have to bear that in mind if I am ever there when it’s on 🙂 Would love to go!

I’d need these twins right now, one for the outdoors and one with a fan for the indoors. 😉
