I loved this little guy who I saw sunning himself on a pavement in Australia when I visited a few years ago. He didn’t move an inch as I got closer and closer! Just stared at me as he posed for the camera!
It was very warm so I don’t blame him for standing his ground!
He was a tiny thing though! This is what he looked like in reality!

How amazing! Maybe he thought he blended sufficiently into the background that you couldn’t see him as they normally scoot off pronto.

I like the pattern on his back. I’ve known plenty of lizards who are just so ballsy like that that they don’t seem to care how close you get.

Maybe it’s a lizard trait! He certainly wasn’t going anywhere! Yes, once I got closer I could see the definition of the pattern…and much easier through the camera!

Hahah, I thought the lizard was huge till I saw the last shot. I guess he had found the perfect spot and felt very reluctant to leave it 🙂

Hahaha, I don’t think I would’ve gotten very close if it had been a big lizard! He really was not moving for anyone – love his spirit!

He’d frozen thinking you couldn’t see him. Where were you in Australia? I don’t think we would find him in Victoria well definitely not around Melbourne. So east coast, WA or North I’m guessing. Louise
