I always used to dread the onslaught of winter. I am a summer girl, always have been and always will be. But as I have gotten older, Autumn has somehow managed to creep into my affections!
I don’t seem to mind the fact it’s getting colder and the nights are drawing in. With the sun shining during the day, lighting up the multitude of colours in the trees and the leaves on the ground, it all doesn’t seem that bad.
How did I never really notice the colours when I was younger??! I don’t remember admiring them the way I do now, I don’t remember Autumn being so colourful and vibrant.
Getting outside when the weather is like this and taking in the beauty of the season is glorious and so good for the soul! Walking in the sunshine with crispy golden leaves crunching underfoot and the colours in the trees sparkling and glittering, is definitely one of life’s little pleasures.
