Spring Has Sprung (I Hope!)

It certainly feels like the seasons are changing! The sun is shining, the trees are starting to bud. Since returning from my holidays I have noticed that the nights are getting longer. I’m definitely not complaining about that, it’s so lovely to return home from work in the light instead of what feels like the middle of the night.

I’m enjoying it whilst it lasts, as I fear it is just a temporary glitch before the cold returns (or maybe that’s just my British cynicism about the weather coming out!).

This week’s Friendly Friday Photo Challenge is ‘Feelings of Spring’ and it inspired me to get out and have a walk to enjoy those first feelings of spring that I am experiencing this year due to this lovely weather.

The daffodils are out everywhere and there is blossom aplenty.  It feels like I am emerging from winter and can finally breathe a sigh of relief that it is over for another year (I hope)!

  1. Thank you for joining in. Spring gives us this gift – a sense of renewal and nothing says it better than a flower. The daffodils are beautiful. What are the other flowers called? Is one a Magnolia?

    1. Thank you for hosting the challenge, it’s given me a lot of inspiration over the past few weeks 🙂 Yes, the 2nd and 3rd photos are magnolias, but I’m not actually sure what the last one is!

          1. Yes. March 10th it happened.
I used to like the “extra hour” in the fall, but now, like you, I could do away with it. I think more and more countries are trying to get rid of this silly thing.

  2. Oh man do I miss the magnolias and daffodils in Texas! So gorgeous, you literally can’t capture the drama in a picture…but you did a very good job. Just gorgeous.
